Sports
from Alpine Ski Racing
Sports have always played a significant role in my life. From an early age, sports shaped my character and made me who I am today. I grew up alpine skiing in Colorado and started competing in downhill ski races at an early age. This difficult sport brought out a fierce competitive drive and taught me grit, resilience, a love for speed and technical analysis. I skied throughout high school and competed in world class FIS events alongside Lindsay Vonn other notable ski racers. Of all the sports I have enjoyed over the years, I think ski racing had the greatest impact on me personally.
to Professional Road Cycling
Alpine ski racing in the winters, pushed me to cross training during the summers. I transferred my love for speed to road and mountain bikes. Within a short time, I was ranked among the top athletes in the US Junior National rankings. By the time I finished high school, road cycling became my main sport. I rode for Team USA in Germany, won seven US National Championships, and finished as one of the top amateurs in the 2000 US Olympic Team Trials. On a personal note, I met my husband in 1999 … he was also on Team USA.
and Active Lifestyle today
Sports and fitness are an important part of my life today. I enjoy group fitness and boxing classes, running the trails around Orange County, and skiing as often as possible.

Car
Driving sports cars is my passion today … but I attribute that passion in my twenties and thirties to my experiences with Sports in my younger years. I have always enjoyed driving. My first car was a manual five-speed Toyota 4Runner Sport that I thoroughly enjoyed driving in the mountains of Colorado. I gained critical driving skills and learned the limits of that particular vehicle off road, drifting on snow and ice, navigating gravel mountain roads.
Indoor karting was my first experience on the track and my first experience driving anything other than an SUV. That experience changed everything and combined all the elements I lived as a ski racer — knowing your turn apex, finding the racing line, maintaining speed — and the race karts provided their own motor. From that moment, I was hooked on motorsports. I picked up a Ducati and Triumph and enjoyed motorcycles for a few years. My first big track day was actually on a motorcycle. With a family and healthy appreciation for risk, I switched gears and focused my attention on four wheels. In 2015 I was invited to participate in 7 hour and 12 hour WRL and Chump Car endurance races. I earned my SCCA racing license, and went for it.
Many years ago my husband surprised me with Porsche 911s (997) for my birthday and my obsession with Porsche began. Since then, I have added a 718 Cayman S to the garage. I have tracked both Porsches and the 718 has served a dual purpose — daily driver and track car! Driving is my ultimate thrill, my opportunity to recharge, and simply me time. I look forward to every time I get to turn the key and drive!

Style
In 2006 I started an interior design and home staging business called White Orchid Interiors in Denver, Colorado. The business has become one of the premier home staging companies in Denver and recognized nationwide for incredible style and customer service. I have been featured on HGTV, the DIY Network, ABC television shows and even had the opportunity to host an interior design conference in Las Vegas. My experience with White Orchid Interiors has extended into media and product promotion.
